About Us

Established in 2014, Identity Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization rooted in the lifelong journey of discovering and living in alignment with our authentic selves—our true identity. Guided by foundational Indigenous values of Respect, Humility, Accountability, Purpose, and Balance, our work is centered on creating opportunities for individuals to recognize and unlock the strength and beauty that exists within them.

The seeds of Identity Inc. were planted between 2006 and 2014 during our work in youth development and suicide prevention. Through supporting people during some of their most difficult moments, we came to understand a hard truth: many of us struggle to see the positive within ourselves. Life’s highs and lows can either break us or shape us—and we chose the path of balance, growth, and empowerment. We began uplifting individuals by affirming their strengths, skills, and unique beauty, forming the foundation of our work today.

Our mission is simple, yet powerful:
To promote positive energy within ourselves, our people, and our world.

From this mission grew a resilience movement centered on love, self-worth, and expression—a mindset where passion is encouraged and positivity is power.

A cornerstone of Identity Inc. is the Montana Indian Athletic Hall of Fame (MIAHOF), which predates the organization itself. Our first induction ceremony was held in 2007, and since then, we’ve hosted 10 powerful gatherings that continue to grow in reach and impact. In many tribal communities, storytelling is how we preserve legacy—and our athletes are modern warriors whose stories deserve to be heard. In Montana, where community ties run deep and competition builds respect, MIAHOF has become a force of pride and recognition, uplifting the Native sports narrative through our own voices.

Through social media and especially our vibrant MIAHOF Facebook page, we celebrate the accomplishments of both legendary athletes and Native youth, countering negativity with hope, pride, and honor. By sharing stories and images of their excellence, we not only celebrate our people in life but also honor their legacies when they pass on. What began as conversations while drinking coffee has become a movement of resilience and unity, as entire communities come together to support and elevate one another.

Beyond athletics, Identity Inc. continues to expand through media, music, and cultural celebration projects—creative expressions that heal and inspire. Our flagship film project, The Undefeated, captures the connection between sport and traditional warrior values, showcasing the deep strength, discipline and beauty of our people and sharing it with the world. We have also completed a Native Female Hip-Hop project that empowers artists to reclaim their language and culture through music. These are not just projects—they are passion-driven works of cultural resurgence.
