The Undefeated

THE UNDEFEATED is a film project about the resilience and strength of Indigenous people maintained through our warrior roles. We showcase the power of identity and community through the lens of sports, mentorship, and leadership, highlighting a positive narrative of tribal life too often missing from the public consciousness. As our nation begins to heal from a legacy of cultural erasure and Indigenous genocide, these youth athletes are forging a path that healthily celebrates their whole identities: not just as warriors on the court—but as proud natives off of it.
Our film celebrates these individuals and tribes, not only surviving but thriving on their indigenous lands.

JOIN THE NATIVE RESILIENCY REVOLUTION

There’s a kind of strength in tribal nations that people outside our communities rarely get to see. It isn’t anyone’s fault, as the dominant storyline about Native life has been shaped for generations by loss and hardship. That story is real, but it isn’t the whole story. It never has been.

When you look at our athletics and the true passion behind them, you see a different truth rising to the surface. We begin our film there, as our athletes make the power of our communities impossible to miss. They show what happens when people grow up surrounded by this fire in kinship, responsibility, humor, and a shared pulse that stretches across generations.

Our tribes are a big, sprawling family full of fierce love, endless teasing, and everyone knowing everyone else’s business. Any close family will have its moments of friction. People drift. People need space. Sometimes relationships strain under the weight of history and everyday life. That’s true everywhere in the world.

But in tribal communities, something pulls us back. Indigenous cultural identity is the gravity that holds us together. Ceremony, language, stories, and aunties and uncles who refuse to let you disappear. There’s a living thread that tugs gently but persistently toward belonging. Even when we break, we mend. Even when we struggle, we return.

That’s what people often don’t realize about our tribal nations: we have something many spend their lives searching for. Connection to something that can’t be bought. A community that doesn’t fade because our stories are from this place. A love for our people, our land, our way of life, connects everything around us and lifts us out of the hardest places as we rise together.

There’s a lesson in that, not just for Indian Country, but for the wider world.

This film project is our center pole in this movement within Identity Inc. The film will welcome outsiders and open up our work to authentic humans interested in an indigenous connection, and once anyone gets a taste of our beauty and strength, their curiosity and soul want more, and we want to connect in a authentic way.
